My Experience

WEB 2.0 LEARNING OPPORTUNITY:
MY EXPERIENCE

Web 2.0 tools have many useful advantages for their users. From social networking and video sharing sites to blogs and wikis, there are an endless supply of free websites available on the internet today. The popularity of sites like twitter, YouTube, flickr, and Wikipedia have made it possible for internet users to communicate easily with anyone in the world.

Learning about Web 2.0 tools is really a very great opportunity. Web 2.0 are very important tools but am sure their impact go much deeper.  Web 2.0 tools facilitates sharing of information, creating a good network, better communication, especially for foreign countries working together. It allows interaction and collaboration with each other in a social media dialogue.  It also provides us with techniques to search for information more precisely which helps a lot in saving time.

Use of Google docs and Google forms becomes really helpful in preparing reports and making evaluations while working on projects with different people from different companies worldwide. Communication becomes even better with Skype which allows us for calls, video calling, file and screen sharing. Twitter and Blogger are helpful tools which helps to be up-to-date by getting the latest news about the fields we are interested in as well as keep the public updated by publishing the latest news about the recent activities performed by your particular organization.

I would like to thank the Technical Centre for Africulture (CTA), the Programme Coordinator of Web2fordev, the University of Mauritius and the Trainers for having given me the opportunity to learn about Web 2.0 Tools which are really helpful and useful for the progress of my organisation as well for myself. I will make sure that I share the knowledge I have gained from you with my colleagues and peers.
